The Jewish Museum offers you an insight into Jewish history and culture in Munich. Events and temporary exhibitions complement what is on permanent display in the museum. Café Makom is situated in the basement of the museum, right beside the bookshop, and is fully accessible for wheelchairs. The café's name MAKOM is Hebrew and means "place in which god wants to dwell".
Enjoy the café with its spacious sun terrace, meet other people or simply have a rest after your visit to the museum. Choose from our range of soft drinks, classic Italian coffee-specialities, various teas and alcoholic beverages, have a delicious French pastry, baked by our own patisserie Dukatz, or enjoy one of our various sandwiches. We also serve daily fresh dishes like salads, falafel, humus, and a soup of the day. Our cuisine is vegetarian but not kosher.
On sunny days you can enjoy the view of the newly designed St.-Jakobs-Platz from our terrace and accompany it with an aperitif or a fresh Augustiner beer which comes directly from the tap.
We are looking forward to seeing you there!
